What is your favorite day of the week?
saturday. i'm a youth leader at my church with some of the best kids ever. i love them all and my week just doesn't feel right without them. and since it's the one day of the week i don't work, my boyfriend and i get to spend some qt together. we're trying as many new restaurants as possible. and last week, we went to see cirque du soleil. he's so good to me. ^_^

How have people mispronounced your name? How is it supposed to sound?

my name is yoomi. pronounced you-me. i always thought it was phonetically correct. simple. a little boring even. but people have butchered it. and it just kills me. i always knew when the substitute teacher got to my name on the class list. there was a pause, a head tilt, as if trying to see the letters at a different angle would help, and an uncomfortable silence before they said one of the following:
yami
yummy
yomi
yaomi (like naomi)
seriously??
What method do you use to prepare your coffee or tea?

if i have time, i get out my loose leaf tea. jasmine pearl. i love pouring the water into the infuser. the pearls and petals uncurl and transform the water. i used to boil the water in a traditional kettle but the screaming whistle jarred my nerves instead of soothing them. so i got an electric kettle. one of the best appliances ever invented! now i can hear the water bubbling, which is a much much more pleasant sound.
coffee doesn't have the same personality but i love it just the same. i know which starbucks barista steams the milk to the perfect temperature and doesn't skimp on the good stuff by filling the top with foam. ^_^
amazon is still having their get 4-for-3 sale. and they had hello kitty dvds! i couldn't resist. i watched the first episode today. cinderkitty. one of the best lines ever:
"i would rather be a wide receiver and catch the passes!"

i love it. vox picked my qotd! ^_^ i'll answer my own question later. it's just fun to read everyone else's. i'll comment on as many as i can. it's such a little thing but it actually makes my day a little better. and now it's snowing. if only i could ditch work and go snowboarding.
